I know you have been put on hold for days,due to ramadan.
But now,i am back here with a wonderful post on "HOW TO PORT AND FLASH CUSTOM RECOVERIES TO ANY MTK BASED DEVICES".
The above images are from the internet and don't confuse the version numbers from the images.Those are not related to this article and just for the sake of a preview.
Introduction
As you know,the MediaTek device manufacturers does'nt released their source codes yet.So it is hard to port a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP or Philz or CTR for a specific MTK device.
So after a while, i found some programs by searching loops and corners of internet that will port CWM or TWRP or Philz recoveries for your own MTK based device which is connected to your computer and is rooted.
Those tools are awesome it automatically modifies the binaries of recoveries to your specific and model and automatically flashes it to your recovery partition and reboots into recovery mode.
All you have to do is with a rooted phone.
Downloads
- Download TWRP_2.8.2.0.zip
- Download PHILZ_6.59.0_r1.7z
- Download CTRv2.4.7z
Steps to port and flash your custom rom to your specific MTK device
- Download any of your preferred recovery from the above downloads section.
- No just double click the setup file and install as it is by following the procedure(You are not so noob,to get explained such things :)).
- After go to your desktop,you can see some folders like this,if you have installed one or more recovery programs from downloads section.
- Open any of your preferred recovery folder and open for Philz it is Philz.exe or TWRP it is TWRP.exe and so on.
- The other steps are as it is and even a noob can do it.
- At last you will get your ported recovery and automatically flashed to your phone and restart your phone to see the changes occured to your recovery.
